ARC Raiders Players Complain of False Account Blocks and Bans

Earlier today, popular streamer ‘Tfue’ posted an image on social media of an ‘account blocked’ pop-up on ARC Raiders. He revealed that he’d received a 30-day ban from the new extraction adventure title from Embark Studios, seemingly for no reason.

Tfue isn’t alone in his ban. Across social media, users have been complaining about false bans and prolonged account blocks. This comes mere days after Embark Studios promised to tackle problems with cheaters by boosting their detection speeds and ban mechanics, which has users thinking something has gone wrong internally.

Why is ARC Raiders Handing Out Bans To Everyone?

Users on social media have been complaining about 30-day bans being handed out indiscriminately in ARC Raiders. The prevailing theory is that an AI-driven, automated ban system is taking ‘rage reports’ and treating them as legitimate claims, banning users without any form of triage.

This is supposedly why Tfue was handed a 30-day ban.

The pop-up warning you of an account ban includes a link to the customer support function, which, in a way, suggests that Embark Studios is anticipating a lot of people disputing their ARC Raiders ban.

Days ago, NICKMERCS came under fire, with vast swathes of social media users sharing clips claiming he was blatantly cheating on stream. Others came to his defense, suggesting that his ‘aimbot’ vibes were nothing more than ARC Raiders’ extremely sticky aim assist features on PC.

Fans of the hyper-popular extraction title are adamant that a 30-day ban is nowhere near enough for those found to be cheating in ARC Raiders. Again, the theory is that it’s a 30-day ban because the system isn’t mature enough yet to accurately issue permanent bans, which would be much more harmful to the game’s ecosystem if legitimate players were hit.
