How to Get Mega Golisopod in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension

A host of returning Pokémon have been added to Pokémon Legends: Z-A with the Mega Dimension DLC, including new Mega Evolution forms, and Mega Golisopod is one of the many new additions you can hunt down.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC has brought a flock of fan-favorite Pokémon back to the game, including Primal Groudon and Mega Rayquaza, and new Mega Evolution Pokémon are obtained in different ways from the base game.

If you’re on the hunt to add Mega Golisopod to your party in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Insider Gaming has all the details you need.

Mega Golisopod in Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC is a random encounter, with the Mega Stone for the Pokémon awarded once you defeat the Rogue Mega Evolution.

While many of the new Mega Evolutions introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A are unlocked through general story progression, Mega Golisopod is one of the many you cannot guarantee to encounter, as its appearance is random.

When searching for Hyperspace Distortions across Lumiose City, keep an eye out for those that appear in yellow with a question mark appearing. These indicate that an unidentified Mega Stone has been detected, and it is a quick identifier that a new Mega Evolution Pokémon is waiting to be found.

However, there’s no clear indicator of what Mega Evolution Pokémon is waiting inside, and it may take several attempts to find the specific Pokémon you are looking for. Once the Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon is defeated though, it won’t appear again, so completing any you find increases the odds of the next discovery being the Mega Golisopod you are hunting.

How to Defeat Mega Golisopod in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Mega Golisopod is a Bug/Steel Pokémon, making it extremely weak to Fire-Type Pokémon and attacks, so having strong Pokémon of this type in your party will be extremely beneficial.

The 4x weakness to Fire is your best bet of taking down Mega Golisopod, as any other attacks will deal normal damage, or are resisted. Grass, for example, is resisted twice, so attacks of that type will deal 0.25% of normal damage.

Avoid Poison-type Pokémon and attacks completely, as Mega Golisopod is immune to them. Overall, though, it shouldn’t be too difficult to take down, especially if you have the likes of Charizard, Emboar, or Delphox in your party.
