The ARC Raiders community succeeded in tunneling through to Stella Montis, and now the new map featured at the heart of the North Line update is open for all to explore. The ‘cold, frigid, and sterile’ facility dug deep into the mountainside represents a fresh challenge for the Raiders, with Embark creating a map that’s entirely a sprawling industrial interior.
This is the fifth map in the ARC Raiders roster, and it has already proven to be a big hit with fans of the rockstar extraction shooter title.
Stella Montis is Ready For You
Stella Montis is the fifth and most recent map in the ARC Raiders rotation, standing as a departure from the apocalyptic Rust Belt and representing something much more ominous: a facility dug deep into a mountain.
It’s bursting with lore and has plenty of nooks and crannies to be explored:
The entire map is an interior environment riddled with criss-crossing corridors, tight engagement opportunities, and little in the way of long sightlines, which is a far cry from the expanses of Spaceport, Blue Gate, or Dam. It’s spread over two levels, too, so there’s a little verticality there still.
Players have wasted no time diving into Stella Montis, and the impressions are extremely positive. The arrival of the new map has once again bolstered the player count, with the numbers looking firm on Steam at around 220,000 concurrent users at the time of writing.
Stella Montis is just the beginning. In December, another update named ‘Cold Snap’ will be added to the game, introducing snowy map conditions and more quests. This is just the beginning for ARC Raiders, which should be supported for many years to come.
