Pokémon Legends: Z-A has a stacked Pokédex of 230 creatures to add to your collection, which will increase with the Mega Dimension DLC, and the task to evolve Pancham can cause headaches in your bid for completion.
A host of Pokémon in Legends: Z-A have special Evolution requirements, ranging from trading to high friendship, and the method to evolve Pancham is one of the more peculiar in the game.
If you’re in need of a Pangoro to bolster your team or to tick closer towards Pokédex completion, we’ve got everything you need to know.
How to Evolve Pancham in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

There are two requirements for Pancham to evolve into Pangoro in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, one of which is very specific.
Firstly, any Pancham you want to evolve into Pangoro in Legends: Z-A needs to be at least level 32. Reaching this requirement shouldn’t be too difficult, as Legends: Z-A makes it very easy to farm XP, and there’s a never-ending supply of EXP Candies available in the game to push you along further.
The second requirement is more specific, however, as you also need to have a Dark-type Pokémon in your party. If your Pancham is at least level 32 and you have the required Pokémon in your party, the evolution can be triggered in the main menu.
If you need a Dark-type Pokémon to trigger Pancham’s evolution, there are quite a few options available. Sandile, a Ground/Dark Pokémon, can easily be found in Wild Zone 8, while Houndoor and Houndoom, the latter being an Alpha Pokémon, are waiting to be found in Wild Zone 6.
Can You Catch Pangoro in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Yes, Pangoro is available to catch in Pokémon Legends: Z-A if you want to skip the Pancham evolution requirements, although not until the post-game.
Pangoro appears as an Alpha Pokémon during Main Mission 40, part of the questline to catch Xerneas in Legends: Z-A, and can be caught fairly easily after being defeated if you have Ultra Balls in possession. It’s worth dropping down a hard save before the fight just in case, however.
Alternatively, Pangoro can appear as an Alpha Pokémon in Wild Zone 20, though there’s a large list of Pokémon that can take this spawn point, including the likes of Gyarados, Goodra, and Leafeon. You can quickly cycle through spawns by fast-travelling to Wild Zone 20 repeatedly and checking the spot beneath the remains of Prism Tower.
Remember, no Alpha Pokémon will spawn in this position if you have begun the quest to catch Zygarde and have yet to capture the Legendary Pokémon. Instead, Zygarde will be waiting for you to be ready in this spot.
