Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s multiplayer mode, Fox Hunt, will release in October 2025.
Released last month, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remakes the iconic third entry in the action espionage series. However, in addition, the game would come with an all new multiplayer mode called Fox Hunt. Similar to hide-and-seek, players would sneak their way around and defeat others on the map. While it didn’t launch alongside the full game, players won’t have to wait long to get in on it.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s Fox Hunt Launches on October 30th, 2025
In a press release from Konami, the studio announced that Fox Hunt would release on October 30th. The mode will be available on all consoles like Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It is free to all who own Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, so fans can jump in with the new update and play with friends. At Tokyo Game Show 2025, ten minutes of new gameplay was shown of the title and can be seen above at around the 9:30 minute mark.
The Metal Gear Solid franchise has stalled a bit after creator Hideo Kojima’s firing at Konami. However, Delta Snake Eater did regain some of the spark fans love, even if it is a remake. The success of the title may lead to more remakes, as Konami put out a survey recently asking players what they’d like to see next. Whether the series will continue, story-wise, is up in the air, but it’s good to know that it will be present for the newer generations to enjoy.
