During a recent Konami Present event, a new Fox Hunt multiplayer game mode was revealed for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, along with a fresh look at the other game modes.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will release on August 28, 2025, bringing players an evolved and immersive remake of the 2004 title. The game features improved visuals, a brand new battle damage system, modern control styles, and much more. Additionally, the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake comes with new game modes like Snake vs. Monkey, Fox Hunt, and Secret Theatre.
Fox Hunt and Secret Theatre Revealed for Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake
The Konami Press event kicked off with a panel on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, with the creative producer, Yuji Korekado, elaborating on everything else players can explore apart from the story mode. PS5 and Steam versions of the game will feature a remade version of the Ape Escape crossover mode as Snake vs. Monkey. For the Xbox version, the developers have collaborated with a Konami series called Bomberman to create Snake vs. Bomberman.
Secret Theatre is also returning to the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake. Players will find the original Secret Theatre videos as collectibles in-game. Moreover, some all-new videos have been created for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
Lastly, the Fox Hunt director, Yu Sahara, revealed the multiplayer mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. It is a new game mode set in the same world as the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake. However, things are very different gameplay-wise. The developers also confirmed that Fox Hunt is not like Metal Gear Online; it’s a brand new type of mode. Fox Hunt is more than a shootout, focusing on stealth and survival elements, taking hide-and-seek and strategic play to the next level. More details about this mode will be revealed later.
