Lenovo has officially revealed the Legion Go 2, the sequel to the 2023 handheld gaming PC. The handheld was first shown as a prototype at CES 2025, but is now set to come to market on October 31.
The Lenovo Legion Go 2 is a Windows 11-based handheld PC that features the same 8.8-inch screen as its predecessor. The difference there, however, is the new screen is an OLED panel with a 1920×1200 resolution—down from the 2560×1600 of the original—and 144 Hz refresh rate.
Lenovo Legion Go 2 Specs
The handheld, at the entry level, is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z2 processor. There are two versions of the Ryzen Z2 available, the based Z2 and Z2 Extreme. Both feature eight cores and 16 threads, the difference is that the Z2 is a Zen4 chip while the Z2 Extreme is Zen5.
Other specs include up to 32GB of LP5X-8000 memory, up to an AMD Radeon 890M integrated graphics card. For battery life, the handheld features a new 74 watt hour (WHr) battery, nearly doubling what the original Legion Go had. You can check full specs for the Legion Go 2 below.

One of the biggest selling points for the new handset are the returning detachable controllers from the original Legion Go. Lenovo says that new TrueStrike controllers have been “redesigned with more ergonomic lines, a smoother feel, and a smarter button layout, and still feature FPS mode, turning the right controller into a vertical mouse for more natural control during FPS games.” The joysticks also feature hall effects to “provide accurate, drift-free control.” The new controllers are also backward compatible with the original Legion Go.
When it comes to pricing, it varies based on the storage and memory. The base Legion Go 2 with the Z2 processor and 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage will run for $1,099.99. Upgrading to the Z2 Extreme with 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage will cost $1,350.
