If you are finding yourself getting hit by enemies when you heal yourself, you will want to find the Warding Bell in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
This game ramps up the difficulty quite a bit in comparison to the original, so unless you consider yourself a master of its combat and platforming, you need to manage your health.
Healing yourself leaves you open to attacks, but one item can prevent that. Here is where to find the Warding Bell in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Warding Bell Location in Hollow Knight: Silksong

The Warding Bell in Hollow Knight: Silksong is found in the Far Fields. The earliest you can find it is shortly after defeating Lace in the Deep Docks, after getting through a few rooms filled with enemies. Look for a very vertical room and drop down to the bottom of it.
In the bottom left corner is a passageway to a dark hallway that seems empty. However, if you are paying attention, you will see an opening in the ceiling where some light is breaking through. Jump up and grab one of the corners to get into a secret room. There’s one small enemy here to avoid, but other than that, nothing to worry about.

Climb to the top of this room and you will find the Warding Bell lying next to a corpse for you to pick up and equip the next time you are resting at a bench.
What Does the Warding Bell Do in Hollow Knight: Silksong?
The Warding Bell in Hollow Knight: Silksong protects you for a single hit while you are healing. As you know, when you have enough silk saved up, you can activate your bind to sit still for a moment and heal yourself. During that time, you are wide open to attack.
When you have the Warding Bell equipped, you will see a new light ring appear around you while you are in the process of healing. If an enemy hits you during this time, your heal will still be canceled, but you won’t take damage from the initial hit.
It is important to keep in mind that it only protects against one hit. If you are ganged up on by multiple enemies attacking at once, or one enemy strikes multiple times with their attack, they can still deal damage.
Are you looking for any way to maintain your health in Hollow Knight: Silksong? Do you see the Warding Bell helping you survive at least a little longer as you continue through the story? Let us know in the comments or on the Insider Gaming forum.
