EA held its full reveal for EA Sports FC 26 on Wednesday, including announcing the game’s release date, platforms, pricing, and features.
Of the announced features, a couple of the biggest include what EA is calling “overhauled gameplay” and “unrivalled authenticity”
Regarding the gameplay changes, EA Sports FC 26 will feature “more responsive dribbling, smarter AI positioning, and sharper, more explosive movement.” The changes to the on-field action are based on player feedback from past games. Even goalkeeping has seen updates with better positioning and more natural movements.
In terms of authenticity, EA Sports FC 26 includes over 750 clubs and national teams and more than 20,000 real players. There are even 35+ leagues and over 120 official stadiums in the game. Lastly, the team addressed general responsiveness via a lengthy blog post.

EA Sports FC 26 launches on September 19 for those who buy the Ultimate Edition of the game. Those who buy the Standard Edition have to wait until September 26.

Compete in new ways across Football Ultimate Team™ with Tournaments and Live Events, as well as a refreshed Rivals and Champs experience. Tournaments will test your skills with up to four rounds of knockout football, while Live Events add more variety with themed competitions and content all season long. New Bounties allow you to earn additional rewards or accelerate your weekly progress. Additionally, EA SPORTS FC™ 26 launches Challengers – a new second-tier weekend competition designed for players in lower Divisions.
