Before jumping into a Marvel Rivals match with Phoenix, it’s essential to read up on her abilities first.
Phoenix joined Marvel Rivals in Season 3. Jean Grey first entered the Marvel universe in the first X-Men edition in 1963. Grey would go on to become a host for the Phoenix Force, a feared sentient and formless mass of energy. As Phoenix, Grey possessed powers such as resurrection, telepathy, immortality, telekinesis, and more.
In Phoenix form, Grey is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel universe, and that translates to Marvel Rivals.
Phoenix Stats in Marvel Rivals

- Class: Duelist
- Health: 275
- Difficulty: Three Stars
Phoenix has similar stats to most Duelists. She doesn’t have much health, so players will have to choose their spots when to get aggressive, or back up and get healed. Phoenix doesn’t deal traditional damage, so she will be a little more challenging to use than other Duelists.
Yet if you can master her abilities, the reward is worth it.
Weapon
Phoenix’s primary weapon, and normal attack, Flame Vector, launches fire projectiles at enemies. Unlike other heroes who deal damage with their normal attack, Phoenix builds up Spark, represented by up to three flame icons above an enemy character’s head.
Successful Cosmic Flames shots to the body apply one Spark, and headshots apply two Sparks. At three Sparks, enemies detonate, deal damage around them, and heal Phoenix. Sparks from explosions will not stack within a brief period.
