Ready or Not has boasted a consistent following of players on PC, and now the title is making a jump to consoles. If you want to know whether crossplay is offered as a feature, we’ve got all the details.
The violent FPS is a SWAT-focused game, dealing with hostage situations and terrorism-fueled scenarios, and its brutal approach has garnered a cult following on PC. Now, the player pool is expanding with the addition of Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 players.
Crossplay and cross-progression are important features in modern gaming, and you can find out whether Ready or Not follows that trend here.
Is There Crossplay in Ready or Not?

Yes, Ready or Not will support full crossplay between all platforms when the game launches on Xbox Series X|S and PC on July 15, as revealed in a Steam blog post.
Players will have full freedom to play with others across other platforms, though this can be turned off if you wish. There are some exceptions, however, particularly between those playing on console and those enjoying the game on PC.
The console version of Ready or Not will not support mods, though there are no details on whether having mods equipped on PC will block you from playing with those on other platforms, or whether the mods just won’t show in-game for those without them.
There are limitations to controllers, too, as console support will not include the ability to play with a mouse and keyboard, although PC already has plenty of controller support.
Still, the good news is you can jump into the game with friends immediately on launch, which is even more appealing with the planned Los Suenos Stories free update, which brings new weapons, new difficulty modes, and two re-designed maps.
Does Ready or Not Have Cross-Progression?
No, Ready or Not will not offer cross-progression as a feature. This has been confirmed in a Steam FAQ ahead of the console launch.
If you’ve already sunk hours into the game on PC, be prepared to restart if you get the game on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. Similarly, if you pick up the game on console but think you’d prefer the PC version, you’ll need to start again.
It doesn’t seem like VOID Interactive plans to offer cross-progression in the future, judging by the blunt response in the FAQs, but it can’t be ruled out. Maybe, somewhere down the line, cross-progression will be added, but it certainly doesn’t seem like it’s a priority.
