Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2025 featured a new gameplay trailer for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, showcasing all the latest features added to the Daima DLC Part 1. DBZ Kakarot’s Daima Part 1 DLC will drop on July 17, 2025.
Since the arrival of the Daima anime series, most of the Dragon Ball games (Sparking Zero, Xenoverse 2, Kakarot) have received some form of DLC nodding to this series. Kakarot will also receive the Daima DLC in two parts, as Adventure Through The Demon Realm Part 1 and Part 2. Today, we got to see some of the new gameplay elements added to Kakarot’s Adventure Through The Demon Realm Part 1.
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Showcases Daima DLC Gameplay Features
The new trailer first takes us through the story elements of Kakarot’s Daima Part 1 DLC. The story will be similar to the anime series, with Goku, the Supreme Kai, Panzy, and Glorio exploring the Demon Realm in search of the Dragon Balls to revert their transformation.
New World

In Dragon Ball Kakarot’s Daima Part 1 DLC, players will get to explore a new world set in the ‘Third Demon World’. This realm features floating islands and mysterious creatures, taking players to sights they haven’t seen on Earth. Similar to the series, the Third Demon World’s atmosphere is filled with volcanic ash, making it difficult for players to fly around in this region. To counter this, the developers have revealed a fast travel mechanic called Sky Seed.
Similar to the other worlds, players will also find different chests in the Third Demon World, filled with helpful items. There are also Demon World Rumours scattered across the open world; completing them will allow players to unravel the mysteries of the new realm.
Combat

Taking inspiration from the Daima series, Dragon Ball Z Kakarot will feature combat that will make you feel like you are in the anime. Following the story of the series, players will battle the onslaught of Kadan Castle warriors and also face off against Glorio. Moreover, players will have to fend off trolls, goblins, and other creatures while exploring as well.
Enemies have new status effects that inflict burn and poison damage on players. Players will have to counteract these status effects with different items, such as the Medi Bug. Goku, Glorio, Panzy and Supreme Kai will be interchangeable during battle, and each has their unique abilities.
