How to Use College Football 26 Team Builder—All New Features Explained

In College Football 25, the first iteration of Team Builder allowed you to create logos, uniforms, helmets, home fields, and custom players. College Football 26 expands on the feature and introduces several new customization options.

College Football 26 features all 134 FBS schools, but it does not include any Division 2 or 3 schools. If you graduated from one of these schools and want them in the game, Team Builder creates an opportunity to do so.

Here is everything you need to know about using the popular feature.

There is an official website for the College Football 26 Team Builder, but it is currently unavailable until the game launches on July 10.

Although Early Access begins on July 7, users will have to wait until the game is available to everyone before the website goes back online.

Once the website is back online, here is the process for creating a team and getting it approved.

  1. Create a primary, secondary, and tertiary logo (Logos can be uploaded or recolored from generic options).
  2. Customize a helmet.
  3. Design a custom uniform (There are over 625 uniform combinations with official Nike, Adidas, or Under Armour providers).
  4. Choose pant and sock options.
  5. Build a stadium (Customizable stadium, crowd, surface, logos, endzone, numbers, Sidelines, and Benches.
  6. Hit the submit button, and after getting approved, you can publish the team.

However, these creation options only scratch the surface of the options available to users in College Football 26.

New Team Builder Features in College Football 26

EA confirmed that Team Builder is no longer in beta. As a result, the website is twice as fast, and render performance has improved. In CFB 25, you were limited to 10 custom images per team, but you can now upload as many custom images and textures as you want, up to a five-megabyte limit.

You can also adjust school grades for academics and other characteristics, in addition to choosing your stadium atmosphere grade. EA listened to community feedback and gave users more freedom to edit individual players.

Here is a list of all of the customization options.

  • First and last name.
  • Previous Redshirt (i.e., has the player already used their redshirt year).
  • High school star rating.
  • Dealbreaker.
  • Player Archetype.
  • Development Trait.
  • Player Potential.
  • Physical Abilities.
  • Mental Abilities.

Team Builder also added the ability to edit Pipelines and rivalries.
