It’s time for the next big thing in 2025—say hello to Peak. The cooperative mountain-climbing game is bringing in a ton of new adventurers daily for new expeditions and experiences. Peak has amassed a huge audience, breaking 100,000 concurrent players in less than seven days.
Summer Game Fest 2025 rightly highlighted the fine job REPO and Schedule 1 have done this year. But their dominance as the leading indie titles could be challenged by Peak.
Peak Passes 100,000 Players on Steam in One Week

Developer Landcrab released Peak on June 16. By June 22, the new party piece had already hit 102,799 concurrent players—breaking 100K in just six days!
It’s another popular ‘streamer’ game, and its low price tag of $7.99 makes it appealing. Here’s what its Steam description has to say: “PEAK is a co-op climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom. Either solo or as a group of lost nature scouts, your only hope of rescue from a mysterious island is to scale the mountain at its center. Do you have what it takes to reach the PEAK?”
‘Very Positive’ are its Steam reviews, and it aptly feels like the only way is up for Peak. The 1.5.a update is indicative of how hard Landcrab is trying to stay on top of Peak, too. So you know you’re getting a dedicated developer looking after its players.
Have you had a chance to jump into Peak yet? Do you think it has the potential to eclipse recent indie sensations like REPO, Lethal Company, and Content Warning? Let us know through the Insider Gaming forum.
