Marvel Rivals players haven’t taken long to discover a new tease that Blade will be arriving as a playable character in the months ahead, following the latest patch.
The June 19 patch, expected to be the last before the new season begins on July 11, was predominantly a balancing patch, though fans have spotted one particular environmental change.
Marvel Rivals Blade Teases Continue

In the spawn room of the Imperial Institute of Science in Marvel Rivals, the bed where Blade was previously visible asleep is now vacant, as posted on Reddit—the latest hint that he will become a playable character.
Blade was an important figure of the lore in Season One, Eternal Night Falls, where he was captured by Dracula in New York’s Central Park, then was rescued at the end of the season.
At the start of Season Two, Blade could be found sleeping in a bed on the Birnin T’Challa map, but it seems he is fully recuperated and ready to join the fight.
Players have been expecting Blade’s arrival, with dataminers uncovering assets for the character last year, though details of exactly when he would arrive have been scarce.
There was an expectation that Blade would arrive this season, having been saved from Dracula, but instead, the Hellfire Gala introduced Emma Frost and Ultron to the fray.
It remains to be seen whether Blade does join the fight next season, especially given the list of datamined characters is quite extensive, but it certainly seems like NetEase has something cooking.
