Hideo Kojima is a complete wildcard when it comes to game development. The co-composer of Death Stranding 2 reportedly changed the game’s script around the halfway point of the development period because players ‘liked it too much.’

Can You Play Death Stranding 2 Early Access?

Death Stranding 2 has early access, meaning you can dive into the sequel before getting spoiled by anyone else.
Fans don’t have much more of a wait, as Death Stranding 2 officially launches on June 26. The first game in the series launched in 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and was later released on PC in 2020. Then, Kojima Productions released a remastered version in 2021 to take advantage of next-gen consoles.
Kojima and his team have been working on the sequel for roughly three years, and passionate fans will want a chance to play it as early as possible.
How to play Death Stranding 2 Early Access
To get Early Access for Death Stranding 2, you need to pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition or Collector’s Edition.
Whereas the Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, the Deluxe Edition costs $79.99, and the Collector’s Edition is priced at $229.99.
Pre-ordering either Edition unlocks 48 hours of early access.
When Does Death Stranding 2 Early Access Start?
Early Access for Death Stranding 2 starts on June 24.
Sony did not reveal an official start time for Early Access. In saying that, Death Stranding 1 launched at midnight EST, so we expect Early Access to start at the same time on June 24. We will provide an update regarding the official start time for Early Access.
In other Death Stranding 2 news, Kojima teased that there will be several cameos, and the ESRB rating confirmed a ‘Battle Guitar’ melee weapon.
