Redefining Ranked in 36.1
KRAFTON will deploy the PUBG 36.1 update on June 19, opening up the Black Market, tweaking the Ranked ecosystem, and making many adjustments to the platforms’ gunplay mechanics.
The core of the 36.1 update is centred around Ranked.
Two new tiers will be added to PUBG’s Ranked system, dubbed Crystal and Survivor. It was confirmed that Survivor will make up the new top rank in PUBG. Players will also be able to access Ranked Duos with the 36.1 update, and the rewards system tied to Ranked has been improved immeasurably.
Not only that, but players will also be able to lean on stacks of equipment, making its way into Ranked:
- Recall System
- Red Zone
- EMT Gear
- Zipline Gun
- C4
- More…
The PUBG Black Market 2025 opens up from June 11 and will run for an entire month, shutting down operations on July 17. During that window, players can secure exclusive skins and outfits that they might have missed during previous runs, for a discounted price.
In terms of weapon balancing and gunplay adjustments, players can expect the AUG to be nerfed a little in PUBG’s 36.1 update, while the VSS has been buffed. This update will also amend weapon spawns on a universal scale.
The following weapons are now being locked to specific maps:
- Win94
- G36C
- QBU
- DP-28
- PP-19
- Mosin Nagant
