Rainbow Six Siege X is available now, but is the game free-to-play?
Instead of a direct sequel, Rainbow Six Siege X is an overhaul of the base game that keeps the iconic operators and maps, while introducing several modern innovations. This includes Dual Front, a new 6v6 game mode that challenges teams to capture enemy sectors while defending their own.
Additionally, visuals and audio have been improved, five maps have been remastered, a new rappel system has been introduced, and new gameplay elements, such as destructible fire extinguishers and gas pipes, have been added. Ubisoft has plans to support the franchise for another 10 years, so it’s a perfect time to get started.
How Much Does Rainbow Six Siege X Cost?

Rainbow Six Siege X is available for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, and Steam on Windows PC.
The free version of the game includes Quick Match, Unranked & Dual Front Game Modes. Dual Front Mode is not supported on PS4 and Xbox One. Additionally, you need internet access and an Ubisoft account, even for the free access version of the game.
If you want to play Ranked games and Siege Cup, you will have to upgrade to one of the several other editions of the game.
