In celebration of Rainbow Six Siege turning 10 years old, Siege X pushes the franchise in a new direction.
Ubisoft revealed Rainbow Six Siege X in March and hosted a closed beta for players to test out the expansion. The game is free-to-play for everyone in Standard, Quick Play, and Dual Front modes, along with a selection of 26 operators.
However, purchasing any edition of Rainbow Six Siege unlocks access to Ranked once you reach level 50. For returning users, get access to all modes for free, including Ranked, and all progression carries over. With that out of the way, what should you expect from the expansion?
Rainbow Six Siege X Release Date

Rainbow Six Siege X officially launched for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on June 10.
Most of the new features will be available on PS4 and Xbox One, but the new game mode, Dual Front, will not be available.
If you missed it, Dual Front is a new 6v6 game mode that requires teams to defend their own territory while also trying to overtake enemy sectors.
Additionally, dynamic objectives require players to adapt, and completing them can significantly alter the course of a match. But it’s not just Dual Front in Six Siege X. The enhanced experience also introduces five new maps, a new advanced rappel feature, enhanced audio, improved visuals, a new UI, and more.
In other gaming news, Fortnite teased a collab with The Simpsons, Phil Spencer confirmed a new Forza game for 2026, and Gears of War: E-Day got an official release window.
