Ubisoft has just revealed the Paragon skin, coming to Rainbow Six Siege soon. It’s an exclusive skin with a unique inspect animation that overhauls Valkyrie’s MPX, and it’s so over the top that it has thrown many Rainbow Six fans into a fit of disappointment.
It’s admittedly very far removed from the core ‘feel’ of the game, and it’s something that might be better suited to Call of Duty Mobile, given the recent weapon skins that have emerged on that platform. Whatever you might think, the Paragon skin is coming out on June 17.
Shock and Awe
Valkyrie’s new MPX ‘Paragon’ skin will arrive in Rainbow Six Siege on June 17, and Ubisoft’s reveal has torn the community down the middle.
First look at the new Paragon skin! Are you ready? 👀
On social media platforms, streams of comments ridiculing the skin were seen. Many fans were demanding to know if it was a joke, while others commented on the Paragon skin not reflecting the premise of Rainbow Six Siege.
One user wrote, ‘This is one of the reasons I left R6.’ Another wrote, ‘Remember when Siege was a tactical shooter?’
Pengu, one of the most prolific creators and former pro players in the Rainbow Six space, said:
Say what you will wether you like the skin or not, but it’s pretty cool to see the evolution and progress we’ve seen from a tech perspective.
Gunnar, a pro player flying the M80 banner, wrote on social media:
Why are people so miserable lmao it’s a gun skin mfs are acting like this is gonna kill the game if u don’t like it don’t buy it
