Maximum Entertainment has announced that Maximum Football will leave Early Access and hit version 1.0 on June 17, the same day the game launches on PlayStation 5.
The game was already available for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
“We’re excited to invite even more players to the field and continue shaping the future of football gaming together,” Maximum Entertainment studio head Anth Rodgers said. “We’ve got some fresh updates in store for our June 1.0 launch, and we can’t wait to see new players enter the game.”
Maximum Football first launched in Early Access back in November. Each month since its initial release on PC, the game has seen a launch on Xbox as well as numerous updates to both gameplay and modes. Some of those updates include the addition of penalties, private multiplayer games, local multiplayer, hurry-up offense, general gameplay fixes and additions, and plenty more.
As far as all of the features coming to Maximum Football when 1.0 releases, Maximum Entertainment is releasing a full deep dive on Thursday at Noon ET. New features expected to come to the game are updates to the game’s weather system, a full franchise mode, crossplay, blocking improvements, and more.
Maximum Football is free-to-play on all platforms to get started and includes the card-collecting mode Maximum Pro League, single player games, customization suite, and Dynasty Mode with access to initial seasons. The $19.99 Dynasty Edition gives full access to the base game and unlimited access to Dynasty Mode. Lastly, the $39.99 Legend Edition gives access to everything from the Base Game and Dynasty Mode while also opens up the Franchise Mode for players.
