2XKO Evo Major Details Revealed Including $75K Prize Pool

Riot Games has revealed details about the 2XKO Major that will take place at this year’s Evo in Las Vegas.

The 2XKO Competitive Series will stop off at the biggest fighting game event of the year between June 26 and 28.

This will be the third 2XKO Major of the year, after Frosty Faustings and the upcoming Evo Japan.

This is in addition to Riot’s minor events and additional tournaments, such as the Red Bull Knockout country-based event.

2XKO Evo will be a tournament open to all competitors, with regular registration open until May 4 and late registrations ending May 25.

2XKO Japan, 2XKO Evo, and 2XKO Evo France have all had their prize pools bumped up to $75k thanks to money raised by the in-game Frame Perfect skin bundle.

The $75k prize pool at Evo will be sponsored by Riot, with help from the aforementioned skin bundle, and split amongst the top 24 players.

The event will also feature the usual Duo Bounty too, with $5k going to the highest-placing duo that plays together.

And in addition to that, the top players will also receive extra prize money through Evo’s own prize pool.

Evo has committed $500k prize money across all its events, with the most popular events receiving more money.

At the lowest, if 2XKO has the 12th most registrations, the 2XKO event will receive an extra $20k, with $8k going to the winner.

Or, if 2XKO happened to receive the most registrations, Evo would add $100k to the prize pool, with $40k going to the winner.

While that prize money will go to the top eight, none of the competitors will walk out empty-handed.

Riot revealed that all competitors, as long as they play and don’t forfeit any of their matches, will receive the Pool Party Senna skin and a Senna pin exclusive to the event.

Meanwhile, those who make it out of pools will get the Pool Party Megabundle with skins for Senna, Braum, and Jinx.

Can 2XKO become a major esport? Let us know on the Insider Gaming Discord.

Excitement for the game has slowed down since Riot downsized the 2XKO team earlier this year.
