I love challenging myself to clear an entire zone of every zombie in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Besides being utterly satisfying, it makes life easier when escorting survivors—at least in theory. But it seems like you enter a store to pick up an electric guitar as a weapon; you turn around, and more zombies are waiting for you. So, do zombies respawn in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster?
Do Zombies Respawn in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster?
You’ll note that, despite slaying as many zombies as possible, you turn around, and there’s always more encroaching upon your position. You can’t escape the endless droves of the undead, and that’s because zombies do respawn in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.
It’s not entirely clear what the criteria are for the zombie respawn mechanic, but it appears that more will spawn into the zone if you’re not looking. So, for instance, you wander into the back of a store in search of loot, you come back out front, and more will be waiting for you.
We’re 100% certain that when you enter a zone, more zombies respawn, so if you previously cleared a zone or whittled down their numbers, you’ll find more waiting for you the next time you visit Paradise Plaza or the Food Court.

Can You Clear the Willamette Mall of All Zombies in Dead Rising?
As zombies continually respawn, you cannot completely clear Willamette Mall of its undead problem. You can slay tens of thousands of zombies over the course of an endless playthrough, but you’ll never find true safety.
That’s all fine and dandy, though, since slaying zombies is one of the ultimate pastimes. You can finish the main story, unlock endless mode, and roam the mall searching for hordes to tackle. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster provides countless hours of entertainment this way!
