XDefiant has been on the market since May 21, giving players worldwide enough time to soak up the fast-paced, Ubisoft-centric action in this free-to-play first-person shooter. It has proven to be a considerable success despite several pushbacks that delayed the game’s release by almost a year.
Now that it’s here, players are eagerly getting involved, learning the mechanics of an all-new shooter that is doing a solid job at disrupting the genre. During the Ubisoft Forward showcase, the team presented an updated roadmap for XDefiant, outlining what’s next for this stellar shooter when season one drops on July 2.
What’s Next for XDefiant?
Ubisoft revealed that plenty is coming to XDefiant with season one, including:
- One new map per month
- A new faction: GSK (with shields)
- Capture the Flag mode
- Three new weapons
- In-store items and bundles
- Ranked progression rewards
