Xbox’s upcoming Developer Direct has been announced. It will arrive on January 23 at 10 am Pacific / 1 pm Eastern / 6 pm UK.
This year’s Xbox Developer Direct will provide players with a detailed look at the games they have to offer for Xbox Series X/S, PC and Game Pass in 2025. Developers such as Compulsion Games, Sandfall Interactive and id Studios will join the fray to reveal more information about South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and DOOM: The Dark Ages, respectively.

What to Expect from Xbox Developer Direct 2025
Doom: The Dark Ages
iD studio will finally give players a full reveal for Doom: The Dark Ages. The upcoming title is a prequel to the original series and will become the franchise’s third instalment.
South of Midnight
Compulsion Games will provide a glimpse into their upcoming third-person action-adventure, South of Midnight. The title is set in the American Deep South, where you encounter creatures inspired by Southern Folklore.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Lastly, Sandfall Interactive will discuss how Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was created with some behind-the-scenes details and “how they plan to deliver an incredible story in a gorgeous fantasy world.”
Surprise Game
Xbox also has a secret game up their sleeves, and they will be visiting “a surprise location to see another studio’s brand new game”.
