After its reveal last week and a special event during Royal Rumble weekend last weekend, 2K has released the WWE 2K23 gameplay trailer for fans.
The trailer comes the day before the embargo lifts for those who were in attendance at the invite-only event in San Antonio.
As you can see, the trailer gives fans a first look at gameplay from the debuting WarGames match in all its two-ring glory. In addition, there’s confirmation of more wrestlers included on the roster such as Cora Jade, Alba Fyre, Macho Man Randy Savage, Bret Hart, and more.
The WarGames match itself will be available to play in two locations, the NXT WarGames arena, and the WWE Survivor Series arena.
Other features of WWE 2K23 include a brand new 2K Showcase featuring John Cena that sees players play as Cena’s opponents from over the years, an improved MyGM mode with more customization options, and new MyFaction features including online multiplayer. More details on game modes are set to be revealed in the coming weeks ahead of the game’s full release in March.
WWE 2K23 launches on March 17 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Those who pre-order the game’s Deluxe or Icon Editions can play three days early on March 14.
Though the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions are all classified as “last-generation”, there has been no confirmation regarding what the differences between the generations will be aside from loading times and various performance increases.
