WarGaming has announced World of Tanks 2.0, the largest update in the game’s history, at Gamescom 2025 ‘s Opening Night Live, showcasing new gameplay, features, and more.

“This is going to be huge,” Wargaming says. “World of Tanks 2.0 is the most significant update in our game’s history. We have reached another milestone, and a new era is about to begin.
“Discover what’s coming to the game and step into a substantially refreshed gameplay experience. Embrace brand-new features, including Tier XI tanks, a new map, and an updated matchmaker. Update 2.0 is designed to elevate gameplay across the board, with broad and systematic rebalancing, new Personal Missions, and immersive audio.”

WarGaming’s new game announcement comes just a month after it was announced that Steel Hunters, a new IP by the company, would be closing down after just three months.
The game saw a peak concurrent player count of just 4479, with a maximum concurrent player count of 100 per day.
