Just when you think Hytale is dangerous enough, with its snakes, bears, and armed skeletons, developer Hypixel Studios adds Dinosaurs, because why not? The location of said Dinosaurs won’t be immediately apparent to everyone looking for them, but they are findable, don’t worry.
Hypixel added Dinosaurs to Hytale in a January 17 update. The patch also included many QOL features, but never mind that: Dinosaurs. Hytale’s inner-Jurassic Park is in full effect, and the scaly, reptilian creatures can be found lurking in the darkest recesses of the map.
Where Are Dinosaurs In Hytale?
You can only find Dinosaurs in the Underground area of Zone 4 in Hytale.
Zone 4 is known as the ‘Devastated Lands,’ and its dystopian name fits the setting. The volcanic area is a calamitous cesspool of danger, and now Dinosaurs. It’s most certainly plural as well, with various breeds of Dinosaur inhabiting the high-level area. You need a Torch to light your way, a lot of strong gear, and Health Potions (make sure you’re collecting Blood Petals) to even think of taking on one of the mighty beasts.
Dinosaurs Location In Hyrule—Map Location, Explained
Dinosaurs can generally be found in most areas of Zone 4’s underground zone, and they can be located more accurately in the Y-Level 30 to 40 range.
You can see Insider Gaming’s screenshot above to show the exact map location where we found a Dinosaur. Hytale is procedurally generated, which means this won’t necessarily be the case for you. However, it gives you an idea of where to look.
Why Are Dinosaurs Not Appearing In Hytale?
If you’ve loaded the Zone 4 chunk you’re in before the update that added Dinosaurs to Hytale, they won’t appear. You need to find another Zone 4 area, worst case, start a new world, or check them out in Creative Mode.
Dinosaurs, being a new feature, didn’t quite work properly when first launched. This means if you’ve racked up hours before the Dinosaurs dropped, there’s a bit of an issue encountering them in Hytale.
Follow the tips stated above, and you should be able to encounter Dinosaurs, should you dare.
