The Cold Snap update added a ton of new content to ARC Raiders, and one item has been on everyone’s radar since: Candleberries. This limited-time nature item plays a key role in the Flickering Flames and Candlelight holiday events, offering players a fresh way to earn exclusive rewards.
That said, Candleberries aren’t exactly easy to come by. They only appear during the Cold Snap event, making them time-sensitive, and the game does little to explain where to find them or how they’re meant to be used. For many of you, that’s caused confusion—and more than a little frustration.

How To Get Candleberries In ARC Raiders
There are two ways you can obtain Candleberries in ARC Raiders during the Cold Snap Event: The ‘Gathering Candleberries’ Live Event and ‘Cold Snap’ map modifiers.
“Gathering Candleberries” Live Event
The first is pretty simple. As you gain XP through regular gameplay and advance the Candleberry Banquet project, you’ll earn Merits and steadily progress along the reward track. At key milestones, Candleberries are awarded as part of the progression. 180 Candleberries can be obtained throughout the project as a whole.
“Cold Snap” Map Modifier
The second method is where you’ll need to put in a bit more effort. During the event, certain maps can roll the Cold Snap modifier. One of its key effects is the appearance of Candleberry bushes scattered across the map. When you manage to find one, you can harvest it to receive a single Candleberry. These bushes are fairly rare, though, and only provide one to three Candleberries at a time, so collecting them this way can be a slow grind if you’re relying on it alone.
Raider Caches can also obtain Candleberries during the Cold Snap event, offering a slightly boosted offering of three to five Berries at a time. Finally, if you’re lucky enough to find a rare nature-themed basket, these will offer the highest Candleberry yield.

What Are Candleberries For In ARC Raiders?
Candleberries are primarily needed to progress through the Candleberry Banquet Project and the Candlelight event in ARC Raiders.
The Candleberry Banquet is the newest project introduced to the game and is split into five separate stages, each of which requires a significant number of Candleberries to complete. To finish the entire project and claim all available rewards, players will need 260 Candleberries in total, alongside the other listed materials.
Completing stages of the Candleberry Banquet project also grants Merits, which feed directly into the Gathering Candleberries Event Tracker. Advancing this tracker is crucial, as it unlocks a range of rewards, including cosmetics, currency, and even additional Candleberries to help push your progress further.
Finally, they also recycle into x2 Seeds per Candleberry, but only consider doing this if you’ve exhausted any other use for them.
