When is GTA 6 Coming Out? | GTA 6 Release Window Confirmed

It’s likely going to be the best-selling game of all time, heading charts the world over and sitting at the top of the table for several years, just like its predecessor, but when is GTA 6 coming out? Rockstar Games released the first trailer for GTA 6 in December 2023, prompting the internet to fall into a state of disarray as everyone realised it’s actually coming.

But now we go to the all-important question: ‘When is GTA 6 coming out?’

GTA 6 Release Date, Anyone?

Following the release of the GTA 6 trailer, we knew that GTA would be released in 2025, but since then, things have changed, and Take-Two Interactive (with Rockstar Games) has narrowed things down.

Presently, GTA 6 is coming out in Fall 2025, per the most recent documentation from Take-Two Interactive. That window is accurate as of November 2024, and it means that GTA 6 will most likely be released in October 2025, in keeping with Grand Theft Auto’s track record.

Historically, almost every major GTA release has dropped in October. In fact, only two games have deviated from that trend: GTA 5 and GTA 4. Both were subject to lengthy delays that pushed them out of their intended release windows, though. Hopefully, GTA 6 won’t be delayed, but never say never.

If you came here wondering when is GTA 6 coming out, this might not be the answer you want, but check back soon as we’ll likely have a more concrete date to share with you – and then the real excitement begins.
