I still fondly remember the day when Fallout 3 launched initially. I was partway through high school and, at that point, totally consumed by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I’d yet to play any Fallout title, so this was my first, but it captured my attention from the first trailer. Then, the day came. It instilled a deep love for the franchise that continues today, and now there’s word of Fallout 3 Remastered coming out? I need to know more. We all need to know more!
When is Fallout 3 Remastered Releasing?
Currently, there’s nothing but a whisper in the wind about Fallout 3 Remastered. We saw a few leaks now too long ago, during the Microsoft/Activision acquisition trial, and those provided a few glimpses into the company’s plans. One such plan was Fallout 3 Remastered and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, but when?
According to the documents, the initial release goal for Fallout 3 Remastered was 2024. Well, we’re nearly halfway through the year, and there’s no word. However, following the monumental success of Amazon’s Fallout TV series, I’d say it’s quite likely we’ll hear more about a new Fallout game launching soon!

Will We See a Fallout: New Vegas Remaster?
Alongside remasters for Oblivion and Bethesda’s first Fallout title, fans want more from Obsidian. More specifically, they want Fallout: New Vegas Remastered. Can you imagine the hype? It’s already considered the best of the modern titles, with a cult-like fanbase denouncing any new release, instead favoring the Mojave Wasteland.
With its level of storytelling, player choice, and the New Vegas Strip, all fully remastered in glorious modern detail, many would have their “forever” game!
Whether or not that will happen, however, remains to be seen!
