Guided Zombies AKA Directed Mode is an all-new feature set to debut in Black Ops 6 Zombies. Not only do we know everything about the new mode and what it entails, but we have the latest details on when the feature is set to arrive in BLOPS 6.
It’s understandable why many Call of Duty Zombies Easter Eggs never get seen in person by more people. I would wager the percentage of Easter Eggs watched on YouTube dwarfs those experience who actually experience them in-game. This is because the Main Quest Easter Egg process is long, arduous, and could go wrong at a moment’s notice.
Treyarch’s Black Ops Cold War Easter Eggs were exceptional, but Black Ops 6 ups the ante. The developer knows this, which is why it’s giving experienced Zombies players ample time to uncover and complete Easter Eggs before the launch of the anticipated, game-changing Directed Mode.
When does Zombies Directed Mode release in Black Ops 6?
Treyarch hasn’t given an exact date on Directed Mode’s arrival; however, the developer has confirmed it is due to arrive “in-season after each map’s launch to protect the sanctity of the traditional “Easter Egg hunt.”
The news comes from a Call of Duty Zombies blog discussing how the future is shaping up for the undead. Based on this knowledge, I think it’s safe to assume Guided Zombies arrives for Liberty Falls and Terminus with Season One.
What is Guided Zombies in Black Ops 6?
Guided Zombies is an assisted version of regular Zombies, allowing those who struggle with the game mode and “welcome more players into the world of Zombies.”
The new Directed Mode is designed to help players who are unsure how to progress through the Main Quest objectives—due to the ambiguous nature of CoD Zombies Easter Eggs. Furthermore, “players will receive focused guidance through the Main Quest with rounds capped to certain stages of their quest progression. All Side Quests and other Easter Eggs will be disabled to ensure experiencing the narrative is the singular priority.”
It’s a more inclusive, accessibility feature falling short of hand-holding because, at the end of the day, you still need to survive and kill Zombies! All the Wonder Weapons and Ray Guns in the world can’t help you if you make a fatal mistake.
