Vampire Crawlers, a dungeon-crawling roguelike deckbuilder that is a spin-off of Vampire Survivors, was announced at the Xbox Partner Preview.
The Xbox Partner Preview has kicked off with loads of announcements, with new game reveals and updates for existing ones. You can check out all the games that are being announced at the event here. One of the games that caught everybody’s attention was the spinoff of Vampire Survivors, Vampire Crawlers.
Vampire Crawlers, a Spin-Off From Vampire Survivors, Arriving in 2026
Vampire Crawlers is coming to Xbox next year and will be a Day One release through Game Pass Premium and Ultimate. It is set in the same world as Vampire Survivors, with shared characters, items, and even in-jokes, but the title is in a completely new genre. This game will also feature returning Vampire Survivors characters with distinct abilities, now known as Crawlers.
As the Crawlers, the players’ job will be to explore dungeons, build and customize decks of attacks and utilities, and take part in high-speed, high-chaos card battles. Players will essentially be mowing down enemies again, but this time using cards. Players can play the game at their preferred speed, can be tactical or play as fast as they can, because “the game is built to always provide accurate logical outcomes, regardless of the visual chaos that your abilities might cause.”
The game also features a card customisation system, which changes the way they play their cards. The system has been flexible and accessible enough to allow players to be as involved or less involved as they want.
In other news, Vampire Survivors received a free expansion and co-op update earlier this year. What are your thoughts on Vampire Crawlers? Leave your thoughts down in the comments, and join the official Insider Gaming Discord server.
