VALORANT by Riot Games will shadowdrop later today (August 2nd, 2024) on consoles – PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.
The VALORANT console Open Beta was first released on July 26 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X, and after a successful test period, the game is set to launch on consoles later today.
Crossplay between PC and consoles will not be available. Still, upcoming game updates will be rolled out simultaneously for PC and consoles moving forward to ensure that the entire community gets hands-on balance changes, agents, and maps at the same time.
VALORANT is a free-to-play title by Riot Games which first released on PC on June 2, 2020. In October 2023, it was confirmed that VALORANT had around 28 million players since launch, 70% of which are Gen Z (born between 1995 and 2010).
