Ubisoft is heading back to launching games on Steam on Day One moving forward. The move comes after what was a disappointing launch of Star Wars Outlaws.
Starting with Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ new release date of February 14, 2025, all Ubisoft new releases will launch on Steam day and date as console and Ubisoft Connect.

Speaking of Star Wars Outlaws, the game will also be coming to Steam on November 21.
Recently, it was announced that steam broke its record for most PC players online with 38,367,277, according to SteamDB. Ubisoft’s hope is that returning to Steam will help increase the overall sales of its games moving forward.
In other news regarding Ubisoft, it was announced during a special conference call on Wednesday that it’s Board of Directors will be launching a full review of the company. This review will cover a number of areas of the organization including overall execution.
