Ubisoft confirmed release windows for both Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red and Star Wars Outlaws in a new financial report today.
The report specifically mentions “the upcoming release of Star Wars Outlaws in 2024”. So, it could launch earlier than expected. However, a Disney blog post in January pointed to a late 2024 release window.
Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red remains broadly set for the Financial Year 2025.
Fortunately, the financial report also reveals that “the extent of the FY2024-25 line-up will be revealed in May”. So, fans should expect clearer release windows, or potentially even some concrete dates.
Recently, Insider Gaming released an exclusive report on the current state of affairs at Ubisoft ranging from internal tensions and worry. Many within the company are hopeful that the performance of the aforementioned games, along with other games, will help turn things around for the studio.
“In 2025 and 2026, expect a new mainline entry to Ghost Recon (Project Over) set during the fictional Naiman War, two new Far Cry titles including a multiplayer game (Project Maverick), and a new mainline entry to Far Cry (Project Blackbird), two new Assassin’s Creed games (Hexe and Invictus), and the already announced Splinter Cell Remake,” Insider Gaming has learned. “Beyond that, expect several new Assassin’s Creed games, including an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake, currently known as Project Obsidian.”
