Two Classic Zelda Games Added To Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo has added two classic Zelda games to its library for Nintendo Switch online subscribers.

Available starting today in the Game Boy library are the Game Boy Color classics The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. The announcement came via a late-night trailer posted by Nintendo on Wednesday.

“You can play these games on their own and in any order you choose, but completing both will allow you to experience the full saga,” Nintendo said in its announcement of the additions. “By linking the two games through their password system, some characters and enemies will change between the two adventures, items can be upgraded or transported and you can even discover the true evil force moving furtively behind the scenes. It will take a hero for the ages and seasons to truly defeat it!”

Nintendo Switch Online is available for $20 per year and includes the aforementioned Game Boy collection as well as classic NES and SNES games. If you upgrade to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack for $50, you get N64 and Sega Genesis games as well as DLC and expansions for games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Splatoon 2.
