Announced during today’s Nintendo Direct, the original Tomb Raider trilogy is getting remastered and is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
“Uncover treasures of the ancient world by solving puzzles and unraveling mysteries lost to the ravages of time. Follow the iconic Lara Croft around the world and face off against deadly foes and dangerous myths. Experience the classics boasting upgraded graphics, with the option to switch to the original polygonal look at any time”, the official description reads.

The first Tomb Raider was released in 1996 for PC, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn. Tomb Raider 2 was released in 1997, with Tomb Raider 3 launching in 1998. The first six Tomb Raider games were developed by Core Design, a British video game development company owned by Eidos Interactive. After the sixth game in the series was released to a mixed reception in 2003, development was transferred to American studio Crystal Dynamics, who have handled the main series since.
