TMNT Splintered Fate is Coming to Nintendo Switch in July 2024

Durning Nintendo’s new Indie World Showcase today, developer Super Evil Megacorp revealed a release window for TMNT Splintered Fate.

The game originally launched on Apple Arcade. Now, it will be available in July 2024 as a timed console exclusive for Nintendo Switch.

Unfortunately, the devs did not confirm an exact release date. However, since launch is approaching so soon, the release date could potentially come up within the next month or so.

TMNT Splintered Fate is a roguelike game based on the beloved IP. Today’s trailer confirmed that the Switch version will support both solo gameplay and drop-in, drop-out online co-op. Naturally, each turtle has their own abilities and playstyle.

The classic ninja turtles continue to enjoy a major renaissance in gaming. Shredder’s Revenge was a huge success, and there’s a lot of anticipation for TMNT: The Last Ronin, an edgy action RPG adaptation announced last year.

While Splintered Fate probably isn’t comparable to those games, it is a welcome surprise to see an Apple Arcade title return in some form. Since the Switch is also built for mobile play, TMNT Splintered Fate should be a natural addition to platform.

Earlier this week, Nintendo confirmed that it will not attend Gamescom 2024 this August, leaving more pressure than usual on today’s showcase. So, some fans might be disappointed that Silksong didn’t turn up, but there were still some promising indies. At this time, Nintendo has not confirmed exactly why it won’t be attending Gamescom 2024.
