Fortnite’s reach across gaming continues to grow as The Game Awards are coming to the popular battle royale game.
“For the first time ever, The Game Awards is live in Fortnite,” The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley posted on Twitter. “Join us to vote and select the best user-created Fortnite island of the year.”
“Grab your friends, discover this year’s nominees, and make history by voting for your favorite Fortnite experience,” Keighley says in a coinciding video announcing the collaboration.

While in-game and checking out the 10 nominated islands, players can collect The Game Awards trophies for an XP boost.
To vote on the best user-created island, just add the island code — 0853-1358-8532 — to your playlist. After doing so, go to “Discover” in the lobby and then launch your game.
The Game Awards in Fortnite is a partnership between The Game Awards, Nighttimes, and Studio 569. It was mentioned that Epic Games is not sponsoring or endorsing the event.
