Team Falcons made Rocket League history in Fort Worth as they completed a dominant Sunday to claim the Rocket League World Championship 2026.
The Riyadh-based team recorded a 12-3 overall record on the final day, culminating in a 4-0 Grand Finals victory to claim the organization’s first World Championship.
Team Falcons deliver when it matters most at Rocket League World Championship 2026
Team Falcons completed a historic run on Sunday, running the gauntlet all the way from Play-Ins and through the Playoffs Lower Bracket to deliver a historic victory for the team and region.
Team Falcons were forced to start the 2026 World Championship in Play-Ins after Twisted Minds’ Paris Major performance saw them top the MENA points ranking.
3-1 victories over FUT and R8 saw the MENA team progress to groups, where they were placed in an unforgiving group alongside SpaceStation Gaming and tournament favorites Karmine Corp.
Despite victories over SSG and MIBR, Team Falcons were forced to start the Playoffs in the Lower Bracket after a 1-3 defeat to Karmine Corp in the final contest of the groups.
However, that start was fitting for the roster that took the scenic route all the way from the Play-Ins to the Grand Final. The Esports World Cup 2026 winners not only improved throughout the year, but also improved in the competition itself.
The roster started their Playoffs run with a 4-1 series victory over FURIA, with three of those victories coming in Overtime. The roster unbelievably repeated that pattern against Shopify Rebellion, winning three of the four series overtimes to win 4-1 and make the lower bracket quarter-finals.
Against NRG, the Falcons were again run close, winning all four of their victories by a margin of a single goal, but this time requiring only one overtime victory in another 4-1 series win.
Now set against the tournament favorites in the semi-final, Falcons went into the contest as largely unfancied, but their clutch factor once again wrestled the contest in their favor.
A 3-2 victory in Game 5 seemed to decisively swing the contest to Falcons, as Karmine Corp seemed mentally broken in Game 6, where Falcons put KC to the sword to deliver a 6-0 victory, a 4-2 series victory, and a place in the Grand Finals.
Already fancied in the final against SSG, Falcons had reached another level of play compared to their earlier group stage contest. Despite close scorelines, there was little doubt about the outcome at any stage as Falcons created continuous pressure on SSG, delivering a 4-0 series victory and making history for the organization.
dralii receives acclaim after Falcons win RLCS World Championship 2026
Following Falcons’ victory, Yazeed Abdullah ‘Kiileerrz’ Bakhashwin was awarded the RLCS 2026 World Championship MVP, with Saleh Abdullah ‘Rw9’ Bakhashwin competing a brotherly MVP pairing as Rw9 was awarded the Grand Finals MVP.
However, the community was even more keen to praise the incredible record of Samy ‘dralii’ Hajji, who won his second World title with an entirely different roster from his 2024 victory with BDS.
The Moroccan/Canadian now holds a record of 6-0 in Grand Finals, with the clutch nature of the player proving imperative in the team’s success.
dralii has only dropped three games across those six Grand Finals, with an incredible 24-5 overall games record that includes EWC 2024, RLCS Worlds 2024, the 2025 Birmingham Major, EWC 2025, EWC 2026, and now RLCS Worlds 2026.
