Wildlight Entertainment is shutting down its free-to-play shooter, Highguard, tomorrow, and today is the last day to play.

In a new post on social media, a laid-off Wildlight dev has suggested that Highguard’s online chatter accelerated its failure.

Highguard is being shut down on March 12, less than two months after its late-January launch, following layoffs, low player counts, and more.

Highguard continues to implode, with the player count hitting almost double-digits on Steam, marking the inevitable end of the game.
