A release date has been announced for the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Return to the world of the Flower Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder in Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park when the game releases on March 26, 2026.
In this paid update to the 2023 release on the original Nintendo Switch, players will not only get to experience all of the Wonder Effects that breathed new life into the 2D Mario franchise, but they’re also going to be able to explore the titular Bellabel Park, adding new multiplayer minigame-like experiences.
Additionally, this version will feature enhanced visuals for the Nintendo Switch 2 and add Rosalina and Luma to the cast of playable characters, just in time to ramp up hype for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy movie.
Pricing for Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the Nintendo Switch 2
Pre-orders for the game are now available. For those who already own the game on the original Nintendo Switch, the upgrade pack will cost $19.99.
As of this writing, there’s no pre-order for just the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game. However, the original Nintendo Switch version is still $59.99.
