Starfield Was The Best-Selling Game in the US Last Month

It’s official – Starfield was the best-selling game in September in the United States despite launching on the Game Pass subscription service. Even before it launched globally, it had reportedly sold two million copies in early access, each copy of which came at a cost of around $100.

Not only that but reportedly, Starfield is officially Bethesda’s first ‘number one game’, exceeding the performance of the likes of Fallout 4 and Skyrim, which secured second-place spots during their respective launch windows. This data comes from Circana, and it makes for a resolute confirmation that Starfield was – and continues to be – a smash hit.

But What Comes Next?

Starfield secured the title of the best-selling game in the US in September, beating titles like Baldur’s Gate 3 (PS5) and Mortal Kombat 1. It’s a testament to the power of the game that it secured that accolade despite being readily available on the Game Pass service.

However, as many of those players approach the endgame, which is expanded on in an infinite sense by Starfield’s innovative take on ‘New Game+’, there’s a question floating in the void: ‘What’s next for Starfield?’

There’s official mod support coming next year, and at some point, we’ll see the delivery of Shattered Space, the first (and at the moment, only) expansion for Starfield.

Are you still playing Starfield?
