Star Wars Outlaws is a single-player game from Ubisoft, but it’s going to require an internet connection. At least, if you want to install the game.
The requirement was spotted on the game’s cover on various storefronts.

While the game will require an internet connection to install it, it will be fully playable offline according to an Ubisoft rep who spoke to IGN. Internet will be needed to install as well as receive post-launch updates for the game.
This isn’t the first time a single-player game required an active internet connection at some point in order to play the game. Games often release with day-zero or day-one patches in order to play, adding to the need to be online. That said, it does seem like once the game is installed, players will be able to play it without issue should they be without a connection at any point.
Star Wars Outlaws releases on August 30 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
