Spider-Man 2 to Launch in September, Lead Actor Claims

Tony Todd, Venom’s voice actor, has dropped a telling message on Twitter that apparently confirms Spider-Man 2 will be launching in September, with an aggressive publicity campaign kicking off in August.

In the post on Twitter, Todd, who has apparently flouted any NDA that may have been in place, responded to a comment stating that he’d ‘been told’ commercials will start dropping in August to advertise the release of Spider-Man 2 – which will now reportedly launch in September.

Tony Todd Told Us

Todd posted an image on Twitter showing himself in a motion capture frame, to which a user stated, ‘Can’t come quick enough Spider Man 2.’

Now, we’re not sure why, but Tony Todd responded with full, unrestricted transparency, clearly stating the following:

Looks like September! Massive publicity coming in august. Commercials start dropping in august so I’m told. Hold on to your … and hold breath! Gonna be necessary

There were suggestions circulating that speculated on a Fall 2023 launch window for Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2, but as of yet, a date hasn’t been confirmed by the developer. The follow-up to 2018’s wildly successful Spider-Man is set to be a contender for Game of the Year, judging from the hype surrounding it. It has been a year and a half since Spider-Man 2 was announced, and fans of the web-slinging superhero (and his friends) are eagerly awaiting absolutely any news possible on the topic.

Bizarrely, this isn’t the first time that Tony Todd has potentially leaked a little information from inside the Spider-Man 2 project. Last year, in November, he posted another telling Tweet on the social media platform that almost gave things away.

Let’s wait and see if that Tweet is promptly deleted by Todd.
