Sony Confirms PlayStation Days of Play Returns on May 29, 2024

In an official blog today, Sony announced that PlayStation’s Days of Play 2024 is coming on May 29, featuring new discounts and activities.

Today’s blog confirms Days of Play will last from “May 29 at 12:01 AM through June 12 at 11:59 PM local time in each region.”

PlayStation players will get access to new, celebratory avatars throughout Days of Play. Sony also announced the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for June, and bonus titles for the Game Catalog and more.

Some highlights include Star Wars: The Clone Wars for PS2, and Dredge for PS4 and PS5 on day one of the event. Later, the definitive edition of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is coming on June 7.

Some of the Days of Play activities will include a community challenge, new Stars campaigns, and an Esports tournament.

The announcement confirms a recent report by Dealabs, which also claimed the event would return on May 29. Dealabs also mentioned some discounts, and PlayStation did announce some notable sales today.

Sony will offer $50 off a PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. Additionally, there will be $100 off PlayStation VR2. Although, a March report suggested that Sony paused PS VR2 production because the device wasn’t selling enough.

Between May 29 and June 9, fans can also save “up to 30% on a 12-month membership plan” for PlayStation Plus.

Other Days of Play 2024 deals include discounts for key titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Rise of the Ronin, and more.

  • I myself would like to see more games that are not geared to shooting and killing especially for children of a younger age. Play for free and demos are like 90+% of the games has to do with killing. My grandson, age 6 plays PS 4$5 and I won’t let him play those kind of games and I know that you could put more sports games on there like something more child friendly for children that like to play, but like to play games other than murder games. Thank you
