Sonic X Shadow Generations release date has been set for October 25, 2024, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
SEGA showed up at Summer Game Fest 2024 with an exciting new trailer for the game, featuring a banging soundtrack. The gameplay trailer gave us a glimpse of new and remastered 2D and 3D levels. On top of that, we received a showcase of Shadow’s new powers for the game, too.
The developers have also revealed Sonic X Shadow Generations’ pre-order bonuses and deluxe edition details. Pre-ordering the game will provide the player with Gerald Robotnik’s Journal detailing Shadow’s Creation and the Sonic Adventure Legacy Skin. PlayStation players will receive extended prologue animations with deleted scenes as bonus content.
The Digital Deluxe edition for Sonic X Shadow Generations will let players enter the game 3 days early on October 22. On top of that, they will also receive an additional level and skin for Shadow (Terios Skin), skill points, an extra background music pack, a digital art book, and an original soundtrack. Pre-ordering the digital deluxe edition will grant you the Sonic Adventure Legacy Skin. It is worth noting that the release date, as well as pre-order bonuses, match the claims that were made recently by reliable leaker Billbil-kun.
Sonic X Shadow Generation is a game that will focus on the story of three hedgehogs, with two epic adventures. The game’s story revolves around Shadow finding himself in a conflict with their old enemy, Black Doom. The characters will have to journey into their past, unravel some mysteries, and unlock new powers to save the day. Sonic X Shadow Generations also features the complete remaster of the 2011 game Sonic Generations.
