Sonic Rumble, after multiple delays, will finally release in November on mobile devices and PC.
The self-proclaimed “ultimate arcade royale” game has been in the works for quite some time. Meant to capitalize on the Fall Guys trend, Sonic Rumble lets fans play as their favorite Sonic characters and duke it out with friends in speedy mini-games. Early tests went well, but the game saw a few delays this year and last. Now, it seems it has finally landed on a release window, as well as addressed some fan feedback.
Sonic Rumble Hits Mobile Devices in November, Feedback Addressed
In a blog post, as well as a new trailer, the team announced that Sonic Rumble will release in November. No exact date was given outside of the month. The game is expected to release on Steam, Google Play, and the Apple App Store. In the trailer, we see all our favorite Sonic characters like Shadow and Cream, as well as a pack dedicated to Sonic the Hedgehog 3. We get a look at some of the game modes and the intense 32-player gameplay. The video also teased future costumes and members like Excalibur Sonic and Wave from Sonic Riders.
The team also took feedback from fans who joined Sonic Rumble’s early tests. As for what’s being changed, the progression and rewards system is being simplified and fine-tuned. The same overhaul is being done for the game’s user interface and onboarding. Finally, new competitive features like skills and joinable Crews with friends are being added. It seems like the team is actively listening to fans, as it’s final message claims the version out in November will be the best possible one. With November a few weeks away, we’ll be hearing more about Sonic and friends soon enough.
