Someone Has Finally Escaped from Tarkov After All These Years

In a post on social media, Nikita Buyanov, the head of the studio at Battlestate Games, revealed that Tigz, a popular Escape from Tarkov streamer, is the first person on Earth to escape from Tarkov. The victory came after hours of trying to complete the final mission in the game, set in the new map of Terminal, which is full to the brim of enemy combatants.

It was one hell of a journey for Tigz, who managed to get into Terminal several hours ago under the watchful eye of Battlestate Games, all of whom were reportedly tuned into his stream to see if he’d make it.

Escape from Tarkov is Possible

Tigz is the first person to officially escape from Tarkov and survive, per a social post from Nikita Buyanov of Battlestate Games. The post came just minutes ago as I write this, following Tigz’s gruelling fight through Terminal to get to the Zubr boat and finally get away from Norvinsk and into uncertain safety.

This is the ultimate goal of Escape from Tarkov following the 1.0 update, but until now, it has been unattainable. What Nikita once said was impossible for most players has been done, but it came after hours of desperate attempts by one of the most capable Tarkov players around.

Nikita was quick to highlight that Tigz got the second-worst ending possible out of the four that Battlestate Games put together. He then pointed out that if someone can complete Escape from Tarkov with the best ending, they’ll receive ‘something special’ from the man himself.

This has been a whirlwind month for Escape from Tarkov. The game launched to a mixed reception on November 15, finally hitting 1.0 after more than ten years in development. The reviews fluctuated, Twitch Drops campaigns went awry, and the player count was all over the place.

Things have stabilized nicely, and now fans are eagerly awaiting the game’s first DLC and the imminent arrival of the Winter Update that will blanket the game in snow.
